Tita Hutchison’s strength as a performer and teacher lies in her extraordinary versatility. Her recording and live performance credits include work with industry legends Rick Rubin, Herbie Hancock, Keith Forsey (Billy Idol, Simple Minds), and Brian Malouf (Michael Jackson, Def Leppard, Madonna) for commercials, TV and film (Baywatch the Movie, ABC Family), and national tours (Shooter Jennings, P.J. Olsson).Combining her years of performance experience with an extensive knowledge of the voice, Tita has helped many vocalists improve their pitch accuracy, confidence, stamina and stage performance. Her private vocal training has helped artists as diverse as Emma Roberts (Nancy Drew), and Latoya London (Broadway’s Color Purple) find their sound. In addition to her successful private practice Tita has spent over a decade teaching at the acclaimed Musicians Institute where she was recently awarded “Instructor of the Year†in both 2005 and 2007. At “The Institute†her focus goes beyond vocal technique and into performance to theory, ear training and sight singing. She is also co-author of the much anticipated book “Advanced Vocal Technique: Middle Voice, Placement & Styles†scheduled for release from Hal Leonard Publishing in 2008.
