Tim Pedersen

Welcome! I'm Tim Pedersen and I've been a professional musician for most of my life. In addition to that I'm the Director of the Drum Department at Musicians Institute (PIT, Percussion Institute of Technology) in Hollywood, California.Drumming has offered me the opportunity to play with top name musicians that I admire, travel the world, meet amazing people, produce instructional videos and much more. Most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to become good at something that I love to do. Something that I can be proud of, something that I accomplished. Not everyone gets a chance to do that. I feel fortunate for the experience. I hope you've all made the same opportunity happen for yourselves.The songs you hear on this site is some of the music that I've written over the last few years. I sing and play all of the instruments. I love the process of writing and recording music. I hope at least a moment of one them moves you. By the way, that young handsome devil that you see on the site isn't me. It's my son, Seth. I'm the older (and still occasionally handsome) guy you see hanging out with the other drummers.Hello to all of my students past and present.
