Every day when I wake up, I count my blessings because I love what I do. I started singing at five and no one has been able to shut me up since! My dad, Vince Fanelli, is an accomplished singing, sax playin’, piano playin’ composer. And I mean smoking! He passed on many tricks, shortcuts and roadmaps that I have carried with me on my journey through the music bidness. Thanks, Dad. And I guess I should mention that he also bestowed upon me his twisted sense of humor.

I’ve worked with a lot of diverse acts. One of my favorites is when I used to sing with Delaney Bramlett. Delaney sings with so much heart and passion. He taught Eric Clapton how to sing. And he taught me a few things, too. We used to have all kinds of cool folk come out to the gigs. Sean Lennon, Phoebe Snow, Mick Fleetwood, Jon Bon Jovi, Rita Coolidge were some of Delaney’s friends that used to come and hang out and/or sit in with us.

I've done some touring with Connie Stevens. She is a hoot and a fun loving, vibrant woman, and I always had a big blast on the road with her.

I sing background vocals with my bud, Rosemary Butler, for R&B classic soul concerts put on by Pacific Concert Group, with Art Laboe. My friend, Chuck Crews is the MD (he is amazing) and through these concerts, I’ve had the pleasure of singing with a lot of the old school R&B folks, including the Manhattans, Heat Wave, Wild Cherry, Deniece Williams, Gene Chandler, and many more.

I did a lot of country recording work for iconic producer and promoter Ray Ruff, who I dearly loved. I was on his in-house recording staff, along with Carlette West, Chris Pinnick, Chet McCracken, Will MacGregor, Bobby Furgo, James Burton, and a host of other incredibly talented musicians. Ray died in the fall of 2005 and he is very missed by all of us. He was one of my all time favorite smart asses and I miss him saying, “Ya’ll sounded great except for the redhead…She cain’t sing…” with a big old sly smile, as I stepped out of the recording booth. Ray, it isn’t fair that you left us so soon.

My girl group, Earth Angels, performs in town and throughout the US, doing retro 40s and 50s/60s shows. Deborah Tyler and Albina are my partners in crime on this project. We get great reviews wherever we go. Check us out at www.earthangelsmusic.com.

I have a little power trio, The Dirrty Boys, that SLAMS!! We play rock, blues and r&b material. My fabulous friend, Chris Pinnick, is the driving force behind the band and I tell you, his playing really gets me inspired.

I sing in many styles, including blues, rock, jazz, country and pop. I’ve done a ton of jingles, sessions, showcases and casuals.

I am also a vocal instructor at Musician’s Institute. There is a lot of buzz and creativity there. I love walking down the hallway and hearing everyone busy at work on their projects, from the different rooms. Oh, yeah, and tattoos, there's a lot of ‘em at M.I. I can’t tell you how much I love working there. I give Private Lessons, as well, and my own roster of students is continually growing.

Band Website: This is it!!!
Band Members:Check me out on video playing with Vince Fanelli (my Dad) on sax, Ken Phillips on guitar, Alicia Morgan ..s, Chooch on drums, Keith Moret on bass, Al Bonhomme on guitar, Jimmy Powers on harmonica, and Sam Morgan on sax. My thanks to Janelle Sadler, the fabulous videographer:

Influences: For me, it’s all about the passion. I always say I’d rather hear someone singing out of tune and out of time, with tremendous passion, than someone who has perfect pitch and great technique but no depth. Haha, you probably wouldn’t expect to hear that from a vocal coach, but it’s my truth. I am just going to give a listing of folks that I love, because truly, I'm just influenced by whatever I like, and that's a lotta music...

Rock: Jimmy Barnes, Chris Cornell, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Dilana Smith, Evanescence

Blues, Gospel & R&B: Etta James, Delaney Bramlett, David Morgan, Bonnie Raitt, Chaka Kahn, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, TaTa Vega, Bessie Smith

Jazz: Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Rebecca Perris, Anita O’Day, Nancy King

Country: George Jones, Lyle Lovett, Hank Jr and Sr, Marty Stuart, Lacy J Dalton

I have some pretty stellar local musician friends that I love to hear sing and/or play, too…Kelly Moneymaker, Janelle Sadler, Aja Kim, Delbi Smart, Michael Stanton, David and Alicia Morgan, Chris Pinnick (though Chris doesn’t sing, he plays guitar and makes me extraordinarily happy when he’s doing it), Mike Campbell, the list goes on and on and on…
Sounds Like: It depends on what I'm singing. I'm kind of chameleon-like...
