Music is well said to be the speech of angels; in fact, nothing among the utterances allowed to man is felt to be so divine. It brings us near to the infinite.

Currently reading Bastiat's Economic Sophisms.I particularly appreciate the following writers/poets: Gore Vidal, Mark Twain, Frederic Bastiat, Leonard E. Read, Robert Frost, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Walt Whitman, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Bertrand Russell, Stanley Kunitz, and Italo Calvino.
You will see a number of Gore Vidal books in my list below. He is my favorite author, and I regard him as one of the finest historians and writers of our time. After perusing my book list below, you may wish to visit my Gore Vidal page (on my personal website) to learn more about Vidal's work. I have read most of his books from The City and the Pillar to his most recent memoir Point to Point Navigation.
Politically, the writings of Gore Vidal (essays, novels, nonfiction books), Jacob Hornberger (his blog & Freedom Daily monthly digest), Frederic Bastiat's essays, Leonard E. Read, and Harry Browne have been quite influential, educational, (and inspirational) to me. Reading Rothbard now.
I am an avid reader...but thought I'd list just a few books which, among others, have been particularly significant or enjoyable to me.
