Eliza

I’m Eliza Marshall, a professional flautist. I trained as a classical flautist at the Royal Academy of Music but also love to play my bamboo flutes and various genres such as folk and rock. I also love travel and adore the wilderness of Scotland, finding true inspiration from nature.I play in many chamber groups, whilst also freelancing, working in the Session World on bands such as The Divine Comedy, Travis and The White Stripes, on TV shows including GMTV, TOTP and Michael Parkinson. I also enjoy playing on West End Shows The Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King and The Lord of the Rings, and with various orchestras including The Royal Ballet Sinfonia and London Mozart Players performing in venues as varied as The Queen Elizabeth Hall and Wembley Stadium.Music has taken me worldwide, but I particularly enjoy the music and culture of Africa where I worked as a volunteer for a few months in 2004. I loved playing with the local bands and learning improvisation skills, and I am now planning my own folky/world music band....It’ll be interesting.I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V4.4
