About Me

I was the last born into a family of musicians and was performing my Father's music with my family long before my years reached the double digits. I studied classical Violin and Piano in my early years, but Flute and Voice became my main interest by the time junior high came around. I graduated in classical Flute Performance from the University of Southern California in 2002 and then went on to study Jazz and Composition from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City. I performed with my band in NYC for 4 years and have just moved to Berlin, Germany. Along with life, somehow I keep finding my music changing, so I have decided to just let it... It currently resides somewhere between Contemporary Jazz and a creative Singer-Songwriter genre. I don't know; you decide. And let me know when you do! Hope you enjoy...
Here is an excerpt I think about often,
"There is only one single way. Go into yourself. Search for the reason that bids you write; find out whether it is spreading out its roots in the deepest places of your heart, acknowledge to yourself whether you would have to die if it were denied you to write. This above all - ask yourself in the stillest hour of your night: MUST I write? Delve into yourself for a deep answer. And if this should be affirmative, if you may meet this earnest question with a strong and simple "I must," then build your life according to this necessity..." from Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet
