Directed by Bassam Saba
Band Members: The clips above are taken from the June 10th, 2006 performance in Cambridge, Massachusettes of the Bassam Saba Ensemble, with the exception of Shadow of the Wind, which was recorded in studio. This ensemble performs Bassam's original compositions, as well as classical Arabic song and taqsim.
Bassam Saba, a passionate, worldly and multi-faceted musician, composes what could be considered life stories, as in Waltz to my Father, an emotional scene inspired by Russia; and in Wonderful Land, a celebration inspired by the gypsy music of Turkey. These are just two examples of Bassam's eclectic style of composition. Bassam's experience, musicianship and musical desires exceed countless cultural boundaries, as will be seen in the upcoming new album. (All music on site mixed/mastered by April Centrone)
Bassam Saba - Ney, Flute, Alto Flute, Oud, Violin, Buzuq, Saz
April Centrone, Matt Kilmer - percussion
