Where Brooklyn Meets The Delta

About Me

I have been fortunate... I literally stumbled into the blues as a teen in Brooklyn Which lead to a life-long journey internally and across the globe. Meeting Junior Wells & Buddy Guy at a local NY show was my first encounter with my idols & Junior took me under his wing and later recorded my first album with me. He taught me that the blues was a personal expression, my personal expression…In the years to come I would gain confidence of great blues artists like Larry Johnson, who also took me in and welcomed my guitar playing alongside his own. After relocating to Sweden with my family, Eric Bibb who resided there for many years also gave me the opportunity to tour with him and record. An incredible experience!Over the years I have had the privilege to travel the world, meet & play with; Taj Mahal, John Mayall, Mick Taylor, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Toumani Diabate, Bobby Rush, Bernard Allison, Eugene “Hideaway” Bridges, Bob Brozman, Geoff Muldaur, Sven Zetterberg, Otis Grand, Jimmy Dawkins and many others.I now know what music is capable of, it’s power to lift people above the struggle, ease us into another day… That is my focus, my intention. To illuminate suffering for what it is and encourage with every note played. Nothing brings me greater joy. That’s exactly what the blues did for me as a kid growing up in Brooklyn while trying to make sense of the world! -----Brian KramerBrian Kramer
