Bert Deivert - Delta & Country mandolin blues

About Me

I lived in a lot of places over the years but from age 13 grew up in Derry, New Hampshire on the east coast of the United States. While supporting myself as a musician playing solo on the streets of San Francisco and with other street friends, I learned to play for an audience. I moved to Sweden in 1974 where I have worked ever since as a singer/songwriter, composer and musician. Made a number of LPs and CDs. I have played together with a lot of different musicians over the years --- singer/songwriter Peter Case, blues artist Eric Bibb, rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson, old timey rambler Tom Paley, Mississippi bluesmen Bill Abel and Cadillac John Nolden, and play regularly with Irish piper and singer Christy O'Leary (http:www.deivert.com/oleary.html).But for the blues, there are some great folks living in Sweden who are friends and a community.
