The Trampolines was one of the most melodious of the new wave of Swedish guitar pop bands. They were probably Swedens most successful male power pop band outside Sweden in the end of the nineties. They sold hundreds of thousand albums in Europe and Asia and they was in no doubt very much part of the "Swedish-pop-sound" that totally turned the Swedish Music Industry around.
Their debut album "Splash!" was filled with clever tracks, bouncy arrangements, smooth but lively harmonies and all the other ingredients that make up a high "hum-along" factor and which made them perfect for radio airplay on almost any station. The single releases "Good morning to the world", "Taking the easy way out" and "All this time" where perfect examples of the pop song art.
The follow-up, "The trampolines", continued in the same vein, with highlights like the no 1 hit "I'll be waiting there for you" pure unadulterated pop. Both albums have sold over 200,000 copies worldwide.
Their third and last album "How do we do" was released in 1999. Their music had been refined, but it was the same recipe of up-tempo guitar pop.
Johan Stentorp and Pär Davidsson shared and swap lead vocals. They also shared all of the song writing, which created their unique sound where nobody usually ever could tell their voices apart. Always soaked with Pelle Jernryds smart pop guitar lines and Ante Levén powerful drumming.
With number 1 hit singles like: Taking The Easy Way Out, Milk And Honey, Like a Fish out of sea, One By One, I'll be Wating There For You, Goodmorning To The World & Somedays they put Japan under their feet.
