Songwriter and guitarist, he started to perform live during early ‘80s and at the same time to collaborate with important italian singers. His songs have been recorded by Mina, Eugenio Finardi, Pierangelo Bertoli, Carlo Marrale, Cristiano De Andrè, Cecilia Chailly, Donati, Lu Colombo, Stragà. In 1995 he published his first album, Stile Libero that in 1996 was elected “best first album of the year” by the most authoritative prize for italian songwriting, Premio Tenco. In 1999 published the second album, Isole nella Corrente. In 2003 he wrote 3 songs for the Duetto project of the tenors Salvatore Licitra and Marcelo Alvarez, a worldwide Sony Classical release. In 2004 he published his third album, I Paroll Che Fann Volà. In the same period he wrote children songs for Geronimo Stilton, the most important editorial phenomenon of the italian market for children’s books. In 2007 he wrote the words of 3 songs (with musics by Daniel Seff and Daniel Belanger) for the album "Il Tempo" of Michael Girard, a Canadian production. He just finished to record his new album that will be released early 2008.

... you have to love the music. Encounters with people, with other music that has captured us, with the recesses of memory, will do the rest. However it goes, it's about a small personal revolution, an "interesting" way not to suffer through the world. The true beauty of this event is in the fact that any moment can be the right one, and in relation to time you experience a different original perception. The need to recognize ourselves in what we write guards the nature of our own style, our own artistic personality and talent, which cannot be bought or learned, it is never fully ours. Ours is the possibility to grasp the colors of a mood, to mix them up and transform them into a language that resembles us. In order to recognize those colors, you train the way you look at things, you try to see behind them. Every good song is a solitary act of total selfishness. Only later comes the need to share it. Up to now, I believe that this is what I've understood. It's not a lot, it's not a little.
A sedici anni comincia a suonare la chitarra e quasi subito capisce che scrivere canzoni è la cosa che lo attira. Già dalla fine dei Settanta si esibisce dal vivo, prima da solo con la chitarra e poi con un gruppo che lo accompagnerà per una decina di anni. La prima esperienza di rilievo è del 1985 quando Amilcare Rambaldi lo invita alla Rassegna del Club Tenco in veste di "nuova proposta". Dal 1986 a oggi le sue canzoni sono state cantate tra gli altri da Mina, Eugenio Finardi, Cristiano de Andrè, Pierangelo Bertoli, Carlo Marrale, Cecilia Chailly, Donati, Lu Colombo, Stragà, Michael Girard, dai tenori Salvatore Licitra e Marcelo Alvarez. Ha scritto anche canzoni per bambini, diverse sono state pubblicate per la collana di Geronimo Stilton.
Il suo primo album esce nel 1995 e si intitola STILE LIBERO (Edel), dall'omonima canzone interpretata da Mina nell'album Loch Ness. Gli arrangiamenti sono di Francesco Saverio Porciello (Savè), il chitarrista e amico col quale forma un sodalizio sin dai primi anni Ottanta. All'album partecipano Roberta Gambarini, Paolino Dalla Porta, Elio Rivagli, Ares Tavolazzi, Alberto Tafuri, Marco Brioschi, Rinaldo Donati, Massimo Gatti, Carlo De Martini, Maurizio Deho, Vittorio Cosma, Umberto Tenaglia nonchè alcuni ospiti come Eugenio Finardi, Rossana Casale, Carlo Marrale e Piero Milesi che arrangia gli archi del brano che dà il titolo all'album. Nel 1996 STILE LIBERO si aggiudica la TARGA TENCO quale "Migliore Opera Prima".
Nel 1999 è la volta di ISOLE NELLA CORRENTE (Fridge), arrangiato da Rinaldo Donati. Nell'album suonano Rinaldo Donati, Francesco Saverio Porciello, Umberto Tenaglia, Marco Brioschi, Kal Dos Santos, Carlo Virzi, Alessandro Gariazzo. Il sodalizio con Rinaldo produce un album visionario, di suggestioni sonore e poetiche.
Nello stesso periodo è presente con quattro canzoni a RADIO PESCI FUOR D'ACQUA, una produzione indipendente di Massimo Javicoli e Andrea Vagnoni che vede la partecipazione di Piero Milesi, Paolino Dalla Porta e Fabio Treves.
Nel 2003 è un album di canzoni originali in milanese, lingua che Claudio scrive e frequenta sin da ragazzo. Si intitola I PAROLL CHE FANN VOLA' (Maxine) ed è un atto d'amore verso la sua città. Ancora arrangiato da Rinaldo Donati, contiene un brano scritto con Franco Loi, uno dei nostri grandi poeti, e un duetto con Nanni Svampa. Nel disco, imperniato tutto sulle chitarre di Claudio, c'è la partecipazione di Rinaldo Donati, Marco Brioschi, Bruno Bergonzi, Umberto Tenaglia, Massimo Gatti, Massimo Javicoli. Sempre in questo periodo esce il volume "Appunti di Viaggio" (Abaco) che racconta il suo percorso artistico attraverso le foto, i racconti, le testimonianze e un cd che raccoglie alcuni brani pubblicati negli anni precedenti.
Nel 2007 sente che è ora di entrare in studio per registrare un nuovo album, anche questa volta gli arrangiamenti sono di Rinaldo Donati. L'uscita è prevista nell'autunno del 2008. Insieme all'album verrà pubblicato un dvd, prodotto da Maxine e Bedeschi Film, che documenta il percorso di Claudio con riprese suggestive e alcuni inediti dal vivo.
