I Monotònia si evolvono da cover band liceale alla composizione di brani originali all'incirca nel 2006, con le prime bozze e registrazioni, fino ad arrivare alla produzione di una prima demo di quattro brani nel 2007, PROJECT ROOM. I Monotònia concretizzano così l'idea di fondere i diversi stili che distinguono i membri della band per gusti, studi e background, cercando di creare uno suond originale con influenze più varie possibili, dal rock alternativo inglese e italiano, passando per la new wave, sino al progressive e all'hard rock anni '70. A ottobre 2007 il batterista Dario La Piana lascia la band e viene sostituito a gennaio 2008 da Daniele Lo Coco. Così la band si avvia ad affrontare le nuove composizioni con una nuova line up, alla perenne ricerca di suoni e idee nuove, in attesa del primo EP ufficiale. Il resto è ancora da scrivere...
Monotònia project started playing his original compositions in 2006, starting with first rude songs and recordings, until they released thir first 4 track demo in 2007, called PROJECT ROOM. Monotònia concretize the idea of putting together the different styles that distinguished each member of the band for tastes, musical studies and background, trying to create an original sound with lots of different influences: from english and italian alternative rock, to new wave and classic 70's hard rock. The drummer Dario La Piana leaves the band in october 2007 and he has been replaced by Daniele Lo Coco in january 2008. Now the band is going to face new compositions, always looking for new sound and ideas, waiting for the first official EP. The rest is yet to come...
