About Me

Singer/multi-instrumentalist Pat Hargan lives in Galway in the west of Ireland, where he works as a session musician and performs with various groups including Chameleon (see friends below). Since taking a masters course in music technology at the University of Limerick a few years ago, he has set up a home studio where he produces music ranging from acoustic styles to rock and electronica: the tracks here offer a sample. In 2006 he produced the music for 'Sacrifice', a short horror film for the BBC by the makers of 'Doctor Who'.

Pat played guitar on the CD 'An Raicín Álainn' by Lasairfhíona Ní Chonaola, with whom he has performed at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, and at festivals in Brittany, Germany and the Netherlands. He is guitarist with the Irish traditional-music show Dancing Thru The Ages, which toured Kuwait and Italy in 2006 and last autumn recorded a forthcoming CD with producer and trad legend Steve Cooney. He also gives private tuition in guitar and music technology. When not doing any of the above, Pat spends his time reading manuals, staring at his computer and struggling with a chronic addiction to buying music equipment.

If you are interested in booking Pat (or Chameleon) for a gig, or in any other capacity, please send a message through the link on this page. Thanks for reading, and enjoy the tunes.
