~*THE WONDERS OF MUSIC*~    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~At an outing 4 out of 7 children spent the day with MAMA, who is 88 years young w/Dementia. We had lunch, manicure, shopping, laughed, kid around with MAMA beside us. While in the van, Eddie was shaving Dickie with his portable shaver. I laughed, we all laughed, then......MAMA STARTED SINGING! I said to her, 'MA, YOU'RE SINGING!' She said 'I SING, BECAUSE I'M HAPPY!' When I was living with her for the past year, I used to always hear her crying in her room. I asked 'Ma....why are you crying?'. She said 'I lost my children!' I said 'Ma, your children are all grown up and have their own lives to live'....she cried even more. You know, she actually believed she did 'LOSE' her children? She asked "where's the small one? or where's the girl?" And that girl is ME. Do you know the feeling of losing a child? Can you now imagine how she felt when her kids was with her that day laughing alongside of her? Imagine the JOY in her HEART! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Papa passed in 2000 and he is missed terribly by mama and of course, by all of us. Our parents are the inspirational beings in our lives...bestowing the love of music on us & the love of God. We each played instruments, and sang. Mama & Papa always sang duet. Mama expressed her feelings by singing! Music feeds the soul... And the song she sang? A song from the good ole church days....'IT'S IN MY HEART'. And she was singing it too ....from her heart. She was with her kids that day...she didn't lose her children. My Dear Mama....you will never lose your children...we're here...right beside you.  You are now finally with Papa....TOGETHER AGAIN. I will see you both later..and when I do...we'll get together and talk story. Love u Ma...Love u Pa... Bless your hearts...Rest in Peace P.S. I used to bring my keyboard in her room, and I would ask "ma....remember this song?". I Love to DANCE and have the entire world dance with me! I Love to LAUGH and have the world laugh with me....I Love to SING (can't sing, really lol) and have the world sing with me in perfect harmony......I Love to have WORLD PEACE and have you love me, as I would love you. You are my sisters and brothers, can I be YOURS too?!? I Love my Country and support our troops 100%. They have chosen their careers in serving and protecting our Country and I salute them.
