Man on the Margin

There is a paradox through which words convey "things" that would not otherwise be expressed by normal, everyday speech. Those words (sound and breathing), in extra-ordinary combinations, connect us to Mystery.

This is poetry, the ceremony of words, the ritual. Rock music, instead, is pure instinct and energy, a tribal ritual based on electricity flowing from body to body.

Here is the link: both rock music and poetry caress the skin, scratch it, pierce it and make it bleed or rejoice. Noise meets words, and we call it "Song".

C’e' un paradosso attraverso il quale le parole trasmettono "cose" che altrimenti non potrebbero essere espresse dalla normale parlata quotidiana. Quelle parole (suono e respiro), in combinazioni straordinarie, ci connettono al Mistero.

Questa e' poesia, la cerimonia di parole, il rito. Il rock, invece, e' puro istinto ed energia, un rito tribale basato dallo scorrere dell’elettricita' da un corpo all’altro.

Questa e' la connessione: rock e poesia accarezzano la pelle, la graffiano, la bucano e la fanno sanguinare o gioire. Il rumore incontra la parola e noi lo chiamiamo "Canzone".
