was it just an accident or was it assassination...

About Me

Formed in 1998 by Gregg McKella, Andy McDonald (bass), Steve Teers (djembe), Wayne Collyer (drums) and later Mufa (percussion) along with guesting backing vocals from Jeanette Murphy and Tracie Reacher...originally went out as "Flowers from a Strange Land" went on as "Paradise 9" doing gigs around London and the South-east & released "Showtime" on own label in 1999. Their music could be described as or as described, as "eclectic psychedelic ambient punk" (throw in a little folk..but only a little..)...was described by some reviewer as Hawkwind meets Joe Strummer....Split up in 2002 after an arguement involving a chicken biriani, Gregg (previously "Image Wot Image") continued to play with "Dreamfield" & accidently re-formed in 2005 after doing a one-off charity do Carl Sampson (also with Jack Maggs) now on drums...2007 saw Tyrone Thomas (also with "Olympic Clamp Down" & ex-ATV) added to the line-up on lead guitar, with Neil Matthars (Casual Affair) on bass in 2008. Curently working on new stuff and will be out there gigging from April. Contact Paradise 9 MySpace Layouts - Stars In The Sky myspace layouts
