About Me

Well who am I? I am still discovering myself as I wallow in the late summer of my life. I am a bit of an enigma..a double sided coin and definately a multi-faceted person. I have been told my immediate persona gives off a cold stern aloof vibe but this is an illusion because I'm one of the warmest friendliest people I know whos always happy to chat or help out. I have a caring nature. I blow extrovert/introvert depending on mood.I am sensitive caring warm little shy emotionally honest fun impulsive romantic traditionally minded but with a wild free spirited streak born of the environment and era I emerged from. I am half Irish/English [CALLEN is Irish name] intelligent well read. I view life as a constant learning curve both emotionally and mentally which makes it so fascinating. Although this sounds cliched I look on each new day as a blank piece of paper there to be coloured in with good fun things or grey routine its our choice. apart from the routine of work we have so many choices.I have a passion for music ideally played live for thats when the true spirit of music comes out. it is an important part of my life and has the power to alter emotions/mood quickly. go back to the earliest tribal communities and some form of musical expression was an important part of their cultures. Today its more of a soundtrack to life but no less important. I love all music but am drawn to the golden era of youth driven music of the Sixties/70s with its love peace rebellion undertones. I used to be a part time promoter although no more I'm still a big supporter of live music venues in my local area. overall music has been proven to heal the soul and inspire the mind like any valid artform and is the back drop of every occasion. I can be found at various live venues in eastern uk and London/midlands. I am definately a frustrated wannabee rock star or at least a John Peel type DJ [he is so missed] Of course there is much more to me than the above but in a nutshell I hope you can see through my disguise for I'm one of the 'good Guys' a healthy mix of traditional and alternitive rebel who likes to cross lines and push bounderies..only dead fish swim with the tide!

This is excellent. In 1969 and about they sometimes sang lead vocals live while a track played. It's in an intimate setting and yes, no lip sync. It's a special treat for Stones Fans. I flipped when I first saw it.

Around my fantasy dinner table I would invite some of the people who helped shape the world we know today..ie JESUS of Nazareth-Julius Caesar-Adolf Hitler-Clopatra-Lenin-Mao-George Washington-Van Gogh-George Bernard shaw-Oscar Wilde etc..and someone large to keep them all in line.No more heroes anymore so...There are very few I'd like to meet today..Would be fun to go out on the town with mick Jagger or Madonna..Maybe Ozzy or Steve tyler...Nigella Lawson would be great too if she invited me to dinner although I'd be dribbling over her Prawn delights..tee hee
