I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Back in 1974 my friend Tony Morley joined a band called Wooden Lion as their lead guitarist and I became their roadie notably when they played at the Windsor & Watchfield Festivals. In 1976 he left and joined a band that my brother Andy played drums in called Struggle. Struggle got themselves a manager and were booked to support Slade on the 1976 UK tour. I went as their roadie and at the first gig discovered that they had to supply somebody to run the mixing desk. I very quickly learned how a mixing desk works and will forever be indebted to Charlie, Slades's sound engineer for helping and teaching me.This ultimately led to my career in the live music world. I also worked with ex Wooden Lion singer Roy Weard and Tony Morley in both Dogwatch & Last Post as their sound engineer.I moved from mixing live sound to "looking after guitars and people who play them" back in 1987.In 1991 I moved into the world of theatre and spent the next 13 years touring the UK, Europe & North America with such shows as Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, Great Balls Of Fire - The Jerry Lee Lewis Story & Return To The Forbidden Planet. When my last Buddy tour finished in 2003 I decided that 25 years of living out of a suitcase was enough for me so I re-joined the "real world" I have now been dragged out of "retirement" to run mission control for That Legendary Wooden Lion www.myspace.com/thatlegendarywoodenlion. Watch out for us coming to a venue near you.
