My first band was as a lead vocalist with a group called Dial M, a melodic rock band and I worked with singer/songwriter John Ford and got my first real taste of writing lyrics.
I went on to writing my own material and joined forces with yet another songwriter Greg McKella, together we formed the group 'Image wot Image?' with band members, Bass: Debbie Vanozzi - 'Gertrude', Lead Guitar: Tyronne Thomas - 'Alternative T.V', Drums: Mufa, Gregg - now running 'Paradise9' and 'Dreamfield' and myself now a solo artist. The band stayed together for 6 years playing festivals and gigs all over the UK.I started playing solo gigs at the Troubadour on Brompton Road, London which was a great night and featured some really fantastic singers and musicians. Other places included the 12 Bar Club, Half Moon in Putney, Chill Club in Fulham, and Acoustic Revolution to name a few.In 1996 I signed an album deal with Indie label - Ocean Records and released my debut solo album 'Biting' in 1997. The tracks received some rather pleasant reviews and got quite a lot of airplay on BBC Radio and on independent radio stations. It was great fun and quite an experience, I met some really great people. Unfortunately we ran out of money and couldn't get a big company to put up some dosh so the deal ended.I released another album called 'Sugar and Spice'in 2005 on my own label CSR, featuring guest artists Bassist: Steve Gee - 'Landmarq', Wayne Collier - Drums, Jerry Moody - muso instrumentalist and Steve Rispin - Muso/engineer and producer.I've been very busy writing new material and haven't been out much playing, but I'm now preparing to record another album.... mmmm though I do do the occasional gig in and around london.
