About Me

From Us To You...
The Beatles are the most successful entertainers of the 20th century. They contributed to music, film, literature, art and fashion. Their songs and images carry powerful ideas of love, hope, help and imagination.
In the United Kingdom, they released more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one. This commercial success was repeated in many other countries: their record company, EMI, estimated that by 1985 they had sold over one billion discs or tapes worldwide. The Recording Industry Association of America certified the Beatles as the highest selling band of all time based on American sales of singles and albums.
In 2007, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked the Beatles #1 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

I'd like to meet:

Beatles fans from Across the Universe
Spread the word and you'll be free
Spread the word and be like me
Spread the word I'm thinking of
Have you heard the word is love?
It's so fine, it's sunshine
It's the word, LOVE!

In My Life
There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more...

In My Life (Lennon and McCartney) performed by Mary Hopkin
The Beatles constant demands to create new sounds on every new recording, played a significant part in the innovative sounds of the albums Rubber Soul (1965), Revolver (1966) and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967).

This Boy (Lennon and McCartney)
They continued to absorb influences long after their initial success, often finding new musical and lyrical avenues by listening to their contemporaries, like Bob Dylan, the Byrds and the Beach Boys.

Hey Jude (Lennon and McCartney)

What is Pepperland?
Pepperland is a cheerful music-loving paradise located '80,000 leagues under the sea', and is named after and protected by Sergeant Pepper.
It is attacked by the music-hating Blue Meanies who seal the band inside a musicproof sphere, then turn the Pepperlanders into statues and drain the country of colour.
With their music and wit, The Beatles save Pepperland!

Imagine
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
