IF Mary was on Myspace, she would indeed be here, but as it is, she doesn't do this sort of thing, leaving it all up to the dedicated team at her own record label, Mary Hopkin Music.Mary's fans will know all about how she shot to fame in 1968. Twiggy, Paul McCartney, Apple, Those Were the Days, etc. So we're not going to go into that.
What we will tell you is what she's been up to recently. If you've read the papers in the last few months you'll know that she's sung on Dolly Parton's new album and lives in a chateau in the South of France, where she can only be reached by carrier pigeon. We'll let that one stick.
In moving to the chateau, she unearthed some recordings that were made between 1970 and the present day, and she has been persuaded to release them album by album on condition that she doesn't have to do anything.
Mary doesn't tour, gig, give interviews, give autographs, pose for photos, etc etc any more. Requests for this sort of thing probably won't get a reply, and for this we apologise. If the mood does take you, feel free to leave comments or messages for Mary and they may get passed on, but again, we can't give replies to these.
