We welcome anyone here, any music, any lineup. We're not fussed. We love to hear bands develop and we love to hear about their successes. We love welcoming people for their first time in a recording studio, or a band's first go in a great rehearsal room. We love having old hands say that this is the best place they've been. We love it when after rehearsing here, a band says they're ready to record with us.
Our rooms are all different. They look different and sound different. We have at least two places we can record, both with seperate control room and live room, one with a large booth room, one with Foley fittings. Another rehearsal room has a more live sound.
You'll feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. A comfy reception lounge and a large well-equipped kitchen are there for you to use and relax in.
Space Studios reaches out to people who wouldn't normally consider using a music studio. Writers can record readings of their work, theatre groups can rehearse here or record audio plays complete with sound effects, anyone can come and learn how to use music technology. You can come for vocal coaching too and masterclasses are in the pipeline for vocals, guitar, drums, band presentation or anything else you can think of!
If you're looking for team building with a difference, talk to us. See our web site for more info about our Sound and Vision events.
If you are a music teacher or trainer we'd like to talk to you about providing classes or workshops.
If you fancy being a star for a day we can help you make your own recording - hear yourself on a professional track for the first time!

Torchwood and Dr Who rule! The Foley for both is done here. So if you're using the Foley suite and you find melon seeds on the floor, that'll be someone's guts spilled on the screen. Now there's something to think about.
Adverts get the Space Foley treatment too. Recent spots include a Discovery Channel trailer and a Nike advert - there were sheep, heavy breathing and jumping on car doors!
We like doing spoken word recording too. In addition to work for the RNIB, we've recorded poets and voiceover for international projects. Distance no object!
