About Me

3Way was formed following the end of the members other bands.
Barney and Evvo, wishing to leave the comedy-rock of CH behind them, moved on to plan a new band with a clean slate. Pugz and Evvo, having played alongside Chloe Cooke for 2 years, and looking to expand musically were straight onboard for this new band.
Pugz knew how to rip out some funky slap grooves and was Jewishly excited about the project, hoping to write some songs, feel some groove get his rocks off.
Steve, SR's drummer, went with Barney to see"the Chloe Cooke Experience". He was re-inspired by the show. He got involved with music again, and the line up was soon complete.
So, all they needed now, was a name. The term 3Way derives from a discussion of how Steve, Barney and Evvo could meet up and bring their girlfriends - Steve dubbed such a meeting a "three way wench party". It was better than "Moot", so it stuck
Later shortened to "3Way", they played their first gig on May 29th at The Point and are looking forward to future gigs

Influences: Stevie Singh says his style is influenced drummers such as Brad Wilk, Chad Smith and "Mighty" Merion Sampson. He also claims to be influenced by other artists of many kinds, from Pink Floyd to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and from Zakk Wylde to Stevie Wonder...

Barney's influenzas include (though are not limited to) Queens Of The Stoneage, and Kyuss, mainly the Homme

Pugz is influenced by a wide range of artists, his main bass playing influences come from bass masters such as Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Larry Graham and Flea. However, Pugz also finds inspiration in other artists such as Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, Stuart Zender, Nathan Hughes, SRV, John Frusciante, Stevie Wonder, and many bands - Pink Floyd, The Libertines, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, the Flaming Lips, The Smiths, RHCP, Black Stone Cherry, Nirvana, Queen, Jamiroquai and of course the local legends Blue Traffic - to name a few...

The music making Evvo lose control consists of Pearl Jam, John Mayer (solo and trio), SRV, Hendrix, Incubus, Counting Crows, FEESH!, The Foos, RHCP and solo J Fru albums, the Who Stevie Wonder, T Bone Walker, Kenny Wayne Shephard, the Smashing Pumpkins and the Zutons.

Teen Spirit November 2007 Review

Straight to the bands& 3WAY were on first, becoming regular to Teen Spirit, as they played in September as well this year. Definitely noticed some improvement - really funky bass lines and hard guitar...
