The Soda Men

About Me

Ayres met Stew. Then they met Mike. Then along came Tomo. We think. Chronology is vague on all this to be honest but, if you're keen to pursue matters, it's all documented in the 'Ancient Historie Of Ye Soda Menne' which is tucked away somewhere in the British Library buried under an intimidating veneer of genuine medieval dust. There you'll find details about their fave colours, what kind of girls they like and what's their fave food (it's baked beans by the way). You'll also hear how they recorded their two albums 'Moon' and 'Musicassette' in Cardiff and at the illustrious home of valve technology Toerag Studios in London (using the very same mixing desk used on 'Revolver'. No really).
..
You can visit the band either at www.sodamen.co.uk or, if you prefer, personally at their homes (but please ring ahead first in case they've popped to the Garden Centre).

'Musicassette' is available from Spillers Records in Cardiff

The Duke Of Wellington, Neath, 14th October

There's no doubt that, if you're into music, the Duke is probably the best place to hang out in Neath. Driving through the town centre on a Saturday night appears to confirm this because every other e...

The District Club, Pontypridd, Friday 13th October

Ayres is pretty damn sure that, when his lips touched the semi-live mic during the soundcheck, the lights at the District Club actually dimmed for a split second. Of course it could all have been an o...
