Growing up in a music loving family Pippa was surrounded by a range of musical influences hearing everything from The Beatles to The Incredible String Band to Pink Floyd but it was always the strong female voices that most caught her attention. "When I was younger it was all about The Carpenters, I loved Karen Carpenter's voice. I used to rifle through my parent's record collections listening to Janis Joplin, Judy Collins, Carole King, Helen Reddy - a real musical mixture!"This diverse list of influences led Pippa to try a lot of different styles in her writing before finding the perfect fit with her current acoustic indie/pop sound. In February 2004 Pippa started playing open mic nights with guitarist Chris Malpass. As the year went on the gigs got bigger taking in a variety of venues including The Riverfront (Newport), The Popfactory (Porth) and Barfly (Cardiff). Pippa's songs started being picked up by local and internet radio stations and receiving positive reviews all over the place! November 2004 saw the biggest gig to date at Cardiff's St David's Hall as the support act for Lulu.In 2005 we recorded a music video for 'I've Been Loved' (thanks to the NSMA and SubTV).After putting a full band together we recorded a session for Adam Walton's Musical Mystery Tour on BBC Radio Wales. The results of this session also feature on our eight track album 'Let Me In'.2006 got off to a good start with a really exciting recording session with top producer Greg Haver who has worked with the Manic Street Preachers among many others. ..
