2-6 June 2008.. Get Ready...

City Showcase was founded out of a passionate belief that emerging creative talent both needs and deserves more opportunities to develop and showcase work.

Launched in 2003, City Showcase is a not-for-profit company that wants to help tomorrow's talent make it in the commercial world of today.

We work with musicians, performers, designers, artists, producers, directors, games developers and talented people in all creative disciplines by providing networking opportunities, workshops, information and showcasing opportunities. City Showcase is about new talent, new audiences and new venues.

Launched in 2003, and with two events that first year, City Showcase – Spotlight London, our annual London festival, has already established itself as a key date in the music and fashion industries' diaries.

City Showcase - Spotlight London is the capital's leading festival for new music and fashion attracting international audiences. Through City Showcase, the public can spot the stars of the future.

Our track record speaks for itself...

In 2003, Razorlight, Keane, Amy Winehouse, Panjabi Hit Squad, Rishi Rich, The Glitterati, Jamie Scott, Jay Sean, Catrin Finch and Big Brovaz all performed during City Showcase.

In 2004, performers included Adem, Apartment, Hot Chip, the Cherubs, DJ Aphletik, Hamish Stuart band and Jim Mullen, Lady Sovereign, Nate James, Ray LaMontagne, ReMasterpiece (Chris Coco and Sacha Puttnam), Roland Wood, Rooster, Spektrum, Swami and Tyler James.

In 2005, those showcased included British Beef, Cass, Ben Earle, David Ford, Duels, Easy Kill, Juliette Pochin, Newton Faulkner, Sway and The Rifles.

In 2006, acts included Akala, Amanda Ghost, Captain, Seth Lakeman, Sonna Rele, Devils Gun's, The Audreys and The Trews.

In 2007, acts including Ben's Brother, Goldspot, Priestess, The Kits, Shameless, N-Dubz, Terra Naomi, Ghost of a Thousand, Nicky Spence.

We deliberately and successfully showcase a mixed genre of daytime performers (ie indie, soul, R&B, classical, rock, jazz, folk and roots), and are gratified to receive consistently positive response from the public, the shops, the venues, industry and the media for the high standard of our showcased talent.

Due to our track record, our showcases are carefully watched by industry talent spotters.

But the week long festival isn't where City Showcase ends. In addition to giving emerging artists and designers public exposure, we also provide year-round mentoring and the all-important contacts in the business.

All City Showcase events are free.City Showcase is funded through sponsorship and funding from the public and private sector. Click here to view our sponsors.
