Can You Cure The Disaster?

About Me

C-T-D (Cure The Disaster) are an energetic, 5 piece Rock/Punk Pop group from the South of England. All with different backgrounds and some with more stories to tell in music then others, never the less the band are as one. With different playing styles and lots of different opinions the sound is a mix of just about every genre.
The members have played over 200 shows combined and in this band hope to at least double that figure within the next few years ahead (Well ok 5 years to be more realistic). As we are talking statistics the band members ages range from 16 to 22 and their combined age is 94 (Same age as one of our nan’s). Anyway enough of the stats :P.
As a band, when we put new material up or new video clips or tbh new anything! Let us know what you think as we need feedback to improve as a band and develope. Hope everyone is well and stays well and drop us a comment daily to keep our fingers busy! Thanks!
Here is a little bit of information about each of the members in their past and present. Ooo the gossip we give you guys! We spoil you! Really we do.....
George David is the Vocalist of C-T-D. He Started performing/music at the age of 6 with an act called "Terry Tinsel" (Don’t ask lol). From then on he has been in 3 bands called Back2Back, Next In Line and Pre-Thought Pause. All those bands have been with fellow singer/guitarist Alex.George does not always play instruments in the songs but you can be assured you get his input within the musical writing with his "technical" words (cough cough) such as "da dom da" (when pretending to do a guitar solo) or "tiss tiss tom" (When doing a Drum Beat) and surprisingly it works. Oh and lets not forget when we are confused at what chords to play during a certain bit he shouts out random ones and for some strange reason it works. Who knows? But anyhow that’s George, Now onto Alex.
Alex started in music at the age of 12 with band member George, under the name of Back2Back doing talent shows all around the south coast as a singing duo. At the age of 15 Alex got his first guitar and within a few months Alex and George started to try and write their first original song. Following this Alex wanted to develop into a full band scenario. With that the two found new members and Alex became 1/5 of Portsmouth Rock Group Next In Line.9 Months later Next In Line split, and once again Alex formed a new band called "At All Cost". The band split shortly after due to creative differences and Alex then went on looking for the perfect band until Cure The Disaster come along. Dan is 21 and 2nd oldest member of the band. Hes been playing his guitar now for about 5 years which have included a number of live shows and casual bands. Alex originally brought alex in for "At All Cost" but the band broke up. The pair re united after Alex decided to ask Dan to join C-D-T which he gladly did. With his metal influences dan adds a hardcore yet melodic edge to the band.
Brian has a problem with standing still, which seems to result in him running round like a crazy man (no we are serious). He also seems to have issues with caling people insulting names, of which sort i cannot mention here, and love to make random comments that he doesnt seem to realise he is making (which ends up in him nearly making enemies before he’s made friends). .....but hey, would u expect any thing less from a bassist? However dispite this Brians fast and techincal bass lines make the spectrum sound more whole and he does this all whilest dancing non stop. Oh not only that he’s always promised he would do something to George since the first day they met, but let’s not get into that right now.
Els (Short for Elliot) is the new kid on the block drummer. With this being his first band he has picked up the drums beats and enthusiasm extremely fast. With clever little drum fills and timing like a human click track he really is a quality addition to the band. No matter what song or when he is always ready to go and perform and always puts 100% into what he does. Watch this space for me info.
