About Me

John Barrett is a songwriter, musician from the midwest. Rock, reggae and an underlying groove are trademarks of John's music. John's songs have been performed and recorded by some of the top midwest acts throughout the 80's, 90's and today.John has turned his focus to his songs. New songs are on paper and bits of tape and memory scattered about. From The Wind Lake Studio, John's third release will be out soon. Requests keep coming in for some of the 'early stuff' - - we're gathering some of the old songs for a compilation CD due out late this year. If you've got a favorite, send us a message!Also, an accomplished drummer, many will recognize John from his playing in the midwest bands In Black 'n White and Bob Mittnacht and The Crowning Glories. As a part of the 'Lakeshore CD Release Tour', John will be playing at an event near the lake in your neighborhood. In Black 'n White is in the studio as this is being typed. So, why does software suck? I mean, you spend x $$ on a box with a disc & you load it to your machine & it mostly works . . . but, in order to do y, you need a patch download that you can find...
