Born in 1984, Chani lived in the great city of Detroit, Michigan (well, in the suburbs...) until she was 6 years old. After getting sick of people trying to pronounce her name without success, she uprooted her family to Israel (she was a very persuasive 6 year old! :).
Chani has been acting and singing since she popped out of her mother's womb, writing since she first learned how to use a pen, and composing since she turned 16, when she got the oh-so-pompous title: Singer-Songwriter.
While serving in the Israeli army as a commander and teacher of combat soldiers, Chani attended the Anat Barzilai Acting School on weekends, where she was declared a rising star. Once out of the army, and after performing in different venues in Israel, Chani, her 3 octave range and her 70 songs, got on a plane to make her first dream on her Post-Army List come true. With a guitar on her back and prayers in her heart, Chani flew to Orlando, Florida to audition for Disney World . She got in as a singer and actress. That's one dream down, a whole bunch to go!
Chani is now the lead singer of a new band that plays her songs, and together they will soon be touring the country. In the meantime, Chani can be seen performing solo at different venues around the country, including the Village Bar, which has chosen her as their official in-house performer.
