"Bands seem to come out of nowhere these days, I had only recently heard of 'Seven Year Kismet' and, hailing from Sheerness, they originate very close to where I live. This equals a very surprised reviewer with some brutality to wrap around my ear lobes.
SYK churn out furious beatdowns and stunted metal riffage, in the vein of Lamb Of God, which leads on to seemingly rock'n'roll influenced intervals. This change in pace allows the songs to flow well and gives the songs room to breathe, rather than clutter up the tracks. There are a few places where things could be tightened up a bit, but overall these boys create a proficient and enjoyable sound.
