Kraai
Ensemble Kraai is an a cappella sextet based in Malmö, Sweden. We all have long experience from a number of different choirs, such as Lunds Vokalensemble, Malmö Opera chorus, Vox Nova, and Malmö Kammarkör.
Music
We have an extensive repertoire of early music, from mediaeval composers such as Dunstable and Machaut (14th century), through the renaissance of Palestrina and Gesualdo (16th century), to the baroque era of Schütz (17th century), Buxtehude and Bach (18th century).
Our repertoire also includes a cappella music by 20th century composers, such as Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, Poulenc, Pärt and Sandström, as well as music by local composers, such as Håkan Olsson and Stefan Klaverdal .
In 2007 we will commemorate the 300th anniversary of the death of Dietrich Buxtehude with a programme consisting of the following works:M. Praetorius: Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr H. Schütz: Die Himmel erzählen die Ehre Gottes H. Schütz: Selig sind die toten D. Buxtehude: Missa Brevis J. S. Bach: Jesu, meine Freude
