Founded in Oslo in 1997, trio mediaeval has developed three distinct strands of repertoire: polyphonic medieval music from England and France, contemporary works written for the group and Norwegian medieval ballads and songs. trio mediaeval will release its fourth CD 'Folk Songs' on ECM Records this Autumn where Torunn, Linn Andrea and Anna Maria are joined by the Norwegian percussionist Birger Mistereggen. Previous recordings are: 'Words of the Angel', 'Soir dit-elle' and 'Stella Maris'.
