Established in 2001 and originally envisaged as an artistically focused, online extension of such idealistic companies as 4AD, DGM, Factory, ECM and Mute, Burning Shed is an internet label and cyber-shop that also runs dedicated artist shops and its own exclusive download store (which offers both mp3s and the high quality lossless format, FLAC).
Amongst the artists the label works with are Porcupine Tree, Roger Eno, Opeth, film director Mike Figgis, Rothko, No-Man, Globo, Nosound, Centrozoon, Hatfield & The North, OSI, Hugh Hopper and Medium Productions (ex-Japan members, Jansen, Barbieri & Karn).
All rights remain with the artists whose music we sell and significantly more profits go directly to the artists than with sales generated through other commercial sites.
