Liquid Assets

About Me

Ex-Wise Heads formed in 1997 through a chance meeting of bass player Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree), and multi instrumentalist Geoff Leigh (best known for his work with the legendary Henry Cow). The line-up has shifted slightly since then, with Edwin and Leigh joined first by percussionist Julian Franks, later replaced by Vincent Salzfaas, who played on the first album "No Grey Matter" (2000) and departed after the second "Time and Emotion Study" (2003). Since it's formation, the band has released four studio albums, a download only EP, and one CDR of out-takes (via burningshed.com) as well as gigging around the UK at various venues and festivals. Ex-Wise Heads continues for the moment as a studio project, with Edwin and Leigh joined by various guest musicians. New CD "Liquid Assets" follows the Ex-Wise Heads methodology, intelligently blending timeless and contemporary sounds, elemental ryhthmic structures, striking solo performances and refreshing and unusual instrumentation underpinned by deep basslines.
