I'm just using this page to present some of the solo material that I've been developing sporadically for a while, and that has grown out of different strands of my musical interests.In the distant past, I've been involved in performance poetry, and a recent revival of a long dormant interest in the spoken word has prompted me to set some Sufi texts to music. I was first exposed to these many years ago, and have returned to the stories from time to time, despite holding no formal religious beliefs whatsoever. Written and passed down over the course of centuries, these are outwardly merely entertaining or thought provoking short stories, but are also seen as a way of transporting deep knowledge, and even spiritual messages to the listener. Both "The Box" and "The Indian Bird" are examples of these tales.
