Well.......having picked up a bass and mastered the tricky line to Argents 'Hold Your Head Up' I was hooked! - and I remain bassically a bass player! After the usual shambolic early bands I played bass/sang and wrote with early 80's progressive rockers Subway in and around Norwich - sadly after splitting I flirted with several jam/bands but failing to find the right thing settled into playing rugby for the next 17 years - tried to keep my hand in playing wise - difficult with broken and dislocated fingers! Having finally hung up my boots and various parts of my body I dusted off the bass and jamed again abit and then joined Hollow Earth (Norwich based prog rock tribute band and all round good blokes!). After 3 years I knew I needed to move on - more jams - nothing happening so in 2007 I bought a second hand 8 track for £280 and it is the best thing I have ever done! - thanks for sticking with this if you haven't dropped off yet! - I then put together a 6 track EP - Permanent Demos (1) - of demo quality songs/ideas in the hope that like minded musos out there may be interested in writing/recording and playing this sort of thing. I play/sing all the bits myself and they are not perfect!!! - Gavin Harrison/John Petrucci and others may have helped but I hope the demos give a feel for what I would like to be playing in a band format......2008 update...disappointingly only 3 new tracks added - have also recorded an unplugged version of the most excellent 'Sound of Musak' by the brilliant Porcupine Tree - Best band in the world at present! 2009 - 4 new tracks so far - I hope to be recording and possibly performing some live stuff this year with my good friend Stu Laws - I really appreciate anyone listening to my stuff whatever they think and am grateful for any comments - Cheers Pete
