About Me

Fovea Hex continues to shape-shift and to evade & confound those who bray "what exactly IS it?", and "where does it BELONG exactly?", and "who exactly belongs to IT?". If you must bang on the table like that, you won't hear a thing. If this music could be described as "up-to-the-moment", then perhaps we could use an up-to-the-moment term like "collective". But eschewing all Fashion Accessory stalls, Fovea Hex lives as many blocks away from the shock'n'awe factory beloved of the avant-garde, as it does from the souvenir-strewn temple of the new nostalgics. "Songs that don't go where you think. With voices to match......" somebody said recently. At the end of the day, that's about all that can be said with any kind of a certainty.

The first release from Fovea Hex is a limited edition set of 3 cd eps entitled NEITHER SPEAK NOR REMAIN SILENT, on Janet Records of Dublin and Die Stadt Records of Bremen. ep1, "BLOOM" was released November 1 2005, and for a first release, it received astonishing critical acclaim. ep 2 "HUGE" was released May 10 2006, and was featured by Underworld, in its entirety, as the finale to their webcast from dirty.org. The reviews brim with superlatives. ep 3 "ALLURE" was released June 1 2007.......
