About Me

"it's like if you untangled an irish session,
hung up the choicest bits each in front
of its own glowing christmas light
and viewed it through 3D glasses
made of paper and cellophane."

Kristin Andreassen
"some of the most maddeningly nourishing, elevating,
and mesmerizing Irish traditional music you'll hear today."

Earle Hitchner. September 26th, 2007, IRISH ECHO
Born in Dublin, and now living in a home for the bewildered,
Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh is an international peculiarity.
He makes awesome music from fiddles
and is known to be fond of keeping chickens.
Once upon a time, he studied Theoretical Physics,
and now looks at the night sky in perplexity.
(so says the Fink )
Visit where the one-eyed man is king at CD Baby , iTunes or PayPlay.fm - a curious little record I made very recently indeed. The good people at CD Baby let you listen to a two minute clip of each track. How fantastic!
for something more traditional, head on over to the MySpace of
Kitty Lie Over
that's where you'll find some music I make with uilleann piper Mick O'Brien...
