About me
I play improvised, orchestral, contemporary classical and early music on double bass, viola da gamba and violone.
About the music you're hearing
Music for Violas da Gamba is a series of short pieces for prepared and unprepared violas da gamba. This is a sketch really... I plan to release an album for solo viola da gamba sometime in 2008.
Benibraun, Mulo Secondo Segmento and Seems far too familiar are from my solo album Engagement & Confrontation . All the tracks on the album were performed on prepared double bass and recorded in real time using 10 microphones, without the use of overdubs, editing, equalization or processing of any kind. If you're interested in buying a copy, you can do so at actuellecd.com .
Geggie Martel Tangay is an excerpt from a concert I did in June 2007 at the Ottawa International Jazz Festival Improv Invitational series with John Geggie on double bass and Pierre Tanguay on drums.
Lento Irrealmente is from Visions Fugitives Op.22, a recent recording by my group Quartetski Does Prokofiev. Visit our myspace or actuellecd.com for more info, or to buy a copy of the album.
