About Me

A composer, musician (saxophones & bass clarinet), Philippe Lauzier lives in Montreal. Since few years, He has participated to a number of projects: the group ENSEMBLE EN PIÈCES (Jardin d’exil - Ambiances Magnetiques); his own trio LAUZIER PERKIN KUSTER (Today is a special day - Ambiances Magnetiques); and the SPIN ENSEMBLE collective, also featuring four European musicians (Nils Ostendorf, Kim Myhr, Martin Taxt and Toma Gouband). With the latter group, Lauzier recorded an album at the Banff Centre for the Arts and played concerts in Canada, the United States, France and Norway. In addition, Lauzier is involved in the various projects of - and takes part to free improvisation sessions with - Pierre-Yves Martel, QUARTETSKI DOES PROKOFIEV, Isaiah Ceccarelli, Gordon Allen, SUPER MUSIQUE, Antoine Berthiaume, RODEOSCOPIQUE, Benoit Delbecq, Miles Perkin, Thom Gossage, SPOT among others. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------- Compositeur, interprète (saxophones/clarinette basse), Philippe Lauzier vit à Montréal. Depuis quelques années, il s’investit dans plusieurs projets: le groupe ENSEMBLE EN PIÈCES (Jardin d’exil - Ambiances Magnétiques), son propre trio LAUZIER PERIN KUSTER (Today is a special day - Ambiances Magnétiques) ainsi que le collectif Spin Ensemble avec les quatre musiciens Européens Nils Ostendorf, Kim Myhr, Martin Taxt et Toma Gouband.
