Jason Sharp & Mobius

Jason hails from the western plains of Edmonton Alberta. After completing a Bachelor of Music at University of Toronto in 2003, he continued his studies in composition at the Amsterdam Conservatorium. Mr. Sharp now calls Montreal home and has enjoyed contributing to Montreal's vibrant music scene ever since. He has appeared in numerous local festivals including the L'Off festival, Montreal Funk and Soul Festival, The Montreal International Jazz Festival, Montreal Reggae Festival, as well as jazz festivals across Canada. Jason's diverse musical interests have not only led him to develop his skills as a composer and baritone saxophonist, but as an electronic artist as well. He has provided electro-acoustic soundtracks for multiple Montreal contemporary dance choreographers and credits these sound explorations as a major influence for his acoustic music.
