.:NEWS:. AedO took part in an European folk contest in Germany at the end of 2006. This contest stands in a very good reputation because the laureates of the previous editions have all become celebrities in the European folk scene (Garmarna, The Transsylvanians, Berroguëtto, Instinkt). The results of the 2006 edition are known: AedO is placed second en wins a special award, for the jury has declared two winners.

In 2007 the band returns to Germany to receive their price and give the audience another steamy concert!
AedO is the first Belgian group ever selected for this contest that exists since 1992.
The comments of the jury for AedO ran like this: “ You are second in the overall standings and the Jury means, that AedO shall get this award for special innovative ideas in the range of European folk-music. Even your concert was one of the best. ”
