My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Carl Franzén is a performing songwriter known by some for his song, ON THE ROAD, recorded by Michael Johnson, Bonnie Koloc and John Denver. More recently, the American Composers Forum selected his JA WOHL as one of five compositions to be performed at its 30th Anniversary. Regulars at Balls Cabaret in Minneapolis know him for WHO PUT ME IN A MOVIE ANYWAY. Others know him as a one-time soccer coach. His dogs know him as a good slobber-ball tosser. People at the Ojibwa reservation in L'Anse, Michigan barely knew him as the bare-assed baby in the front room of the house-hospital. Old-timers in Donaldson, Indiana just shake their heads and say, nah, we don't remember that kid at all. If you drop by Swede Home, Nebraska, well, now you'll get a nod or two, but probably not from former teachers at the District 47 school house. He was never a great student. This is getting kind of wordy, here's some song info.

WHO PUT ME IN A MOVIE ANYWAY? and JA WOHL: violinist TARAS UMRYSH, recently emigrated from Ukraine. Before arriving in US played in the Kiev National Radio Orchestra and the Ternopol Philharmonic Orchestra. Received a masters degree from Kiev National University of Culture and Art.
