FEATURED MEMPHIS ARTIST:
MSCMC NOTICE:
Our preliminary idea for the music player is to feature one song from a Memphis music icon and three songs from three individual emerging artists. The music will play for a two week period from the time that it's posted (give or take...please be patient) and then switched. Pictures will be posted along with the songs. The music presented here is for PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES only (no downloads available). There is no intention on the part of MSCMC to own or profit from this music. All songs (and pictures) must be original and owned by the submitting artist. If at any time the featured artist would like their music removed let us know and it will be removed immediately. We also reserve the right to remove or replace any artist at anytime. Your approval of the above grants the right to the use of your music and image and eliminates the MSCMC from any and all liabilities. If you are interested in submitting music and pics to be featured let us know...Thanks!

MEMPHIS MUSICIAN'S ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Musician's Advisory Council (MMAC) is a self-appointed collective of multi-genre representatives whose main purpose is to be a voice for the creative community and represent the needs, concerns, organized ideas and opportunities for local musicians and the industry that supports them.
The MMAC is an essential piece of the Music Commission’s strategy to understand the “who, what and why’s” of the local community and the systems that support it.
The MMAC will be the voice of the community to the Music Commission and will be an open forum for all partners related to the Memphis Music scene to have a clearinghouse for ideas, collaboration and concerns.

* ATTENTION MUSICIANS/BANDS LOOKING FOR A GIG IN MEMPHIS? CLICK BELOW:

Now Find a Gig Even Easier! Check out the new "find a gig" page and search by date and genre as well as browse by individual bands. Remember, all of the information in our database is submitted by local Memphis bands. If you know of a gig or band we don't have listed, be sure to tell us about it and let the band know that they can list here for free!
Tell Your Friends You Got the Gig We know there are other sites and such trying to do this and we applaud their efforts. That being said there are a lot out there that just don't get the job done--not getting updated, listing by the venue so you can't find who you are looking for, or sometimes just not easy to use. Not us. We are musicians so we know the headaches that you go through to try to find where a band is playing. We are doing everything within our power to make sure that every band that wants to be heard has an audience. We are making it free for the band and will update the site as close to daily as we can possibly make it.
Who I'd like to meet:
Bands... Go to gigmemphis.com and submit your schedule!
To those who just want to dance to the music...
You can help too! If you know of a band that you love, a cd you just can't stop listening to or a special local concert coming up that we should know about contact us at [email protected] and let us know about it.
