Jacquelin Simmers

Over the past few years, Jacquelin has managed to create her own style. She has managed to take over whatever setting is placed in front of her. She has written many songs since the age of sixteen and Jacquelin, now 19, has named her own favorites. Planes Collide was written when Jacquelin was on her rooftop. Its message is basically telling you to keep your dreams. The chorus says, "Catch a snowflake on your eyelashe before it melts away. And catch a falling star before it goes out, before it goes out in your hand." Jacquelin said, "As a child you have so many things you want to do and want to be. You have so many wishes you want to come true. The song is telling you to keep wishing and dreaming." Her song, Dreaming Again, is a song written during the process of three days that happened in her life.
Jacquelin is also the Worship Leader for the Edge Youth at Crossway Church. Shes been leading worship since 16 or so. Edge Worship was created in 2004. Jacquelin wanted to bring something to the table that no one has ever had before. Her worship, is like no other. She is influenced by David Crowder, Third Day, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Lincoln Brewster, Jennifer Knapp, Skillet, Kutless, Hillsong United, and so many others. She has a wanting to see people get closer to Christ through worship! That is one of her cries and one of her prayers. Her growth in the Lord has pushed her forward and has pushed her to a new level of worship. "God meets us where we are, where ever we are, God meets us. My passion is to see Gods fire move in everyone, to see the Holy Spirit move in everyone! Our Freedom is in Jesus Christ! Worship has brought me closer to Him and has opened my eyes to see things in the spiritual. ITS AMAZING!"
Jacquelin writes music in every situation she is put in. She is inspired by so much and so many people. Her music variety ranges from Dredg to James Taylor. Her thoughts and plans fill her life always. Her friends and her family are the heart and soul of why she does what she does. Her prayers and desires help her to keep going. Her love keeps her mind hoping and wanting and her heart always keeps her singing.
