Lick Records began in 1995 seeking to find artists that would become the foundation for a Music Revolution! Founded by Robin Waddell, John Schwab of McGuffey Lane fame, Bob 'Doc' Falcone, and renowned engineer Joe Viers, these four unique individuals were sure that the infinite cycle of music would always yield fresh new sounds. The label signed it's first act Nathan Whitt in 1996 and went immediately to the National Top 40 charts with two of Nathan's songs 'Shadow Jumpin' in 1998 and 'Charade' in 2000! In the last five years, the small label has been chipping away at the ever-evolving music industry defining it's own niche as a place for talented songwriters and music that makes you think and feel.Lick Records now has a network of industry representatives and resources that can provide an oasis for upstart acts, and propel industry veterans such as McGuffey Lane into the future. With multiple studios to record in, and an endless list of performers and venues, Lick prides itself on giving everyone a listen, and that chosen few...a chance!
