Steve Parks & Longshot

Born and raised in the midwestern town of Peebles Ohio, this grass roots community upbringing helped define the man and artist that Steve has evolved into. A belief in God, strong love of family, country, and the affection of close friends are the foundation of his being. Quick to flash a smile, Steve is personable and has a natural ability to treat everyone equally. His "blue collar work ethic" and belief that "life should be enjoyed to the fullest" attitude are clearly evident in his musical expression and style.Steve counts Merle Haggard and George Strait as his traditonal country influences. Blessed with a distinctive expressive voice and clean cut image the similarities are stunning. Steve heralds contemporary artists Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney as favorites. These influences are evident in his commanding stage presence and live shows heavily laden with their songs.Steve's latest endeavors have him performing live acts and radio shows from Ohio to Tennessee promoting his inaugural demonstrator CD produced on Lick Records. He has been opening act for such artists as Josh Gracin and Keith Anderson.Steve is also busy working with his band Longshot, writing new material in preparation for his first full length album.
