About Me

What's Why I Failed?

It's a website with my blog, resources and a glimpse at my upcoming book entitled "Why I Failed in the Music Business and How NOT to Follow in My Footsteps."

My blog here on MySpace has some examples of what you'll find, but be sure to check out www.whyifailed.com for constantly updated insights into the business side of music.

Even though I won a Grammy (India Arie) and an ACM (Gibson/Miller Band), I ultimately failed to build a career. Moving to the "real world" taught me why and this is my way of sharing what I've learned. I'll pass along how to build a career in "the arts" by using "real world" insights, skills and principles.

Best of luck pursuing your dreams, Steve

My Interests

If you continue to be frustrated in your attempts to live your dream, if you're confused about the Music Industry, and if you're ready to give up and get a job in the "Real World."

Don't just yet!

I know what you're feeling because I've already been there. I've already failed, and that's what this site is about. I want to share with you the lessons I've learned the hard way so you can reach your dreams and goals in the music business.

Take a look around, enjoy and feel free to contact me at any time.

Good luck, Steve
