There’s a New Wind Blowin’ from the West!
Cheyenne’s own Melissa Fuller is a seasoned singer/songwriter/performer who brings a fresh approach to the world of country music. For the last decade, this 22 years old has played the western fair and rodeo circuit, opening for such legends as Lonestar, Jamie O’Neal, Andy Griggs, Diamond Rio, Dan Seals, Emerson Drive, Tammy Cochran and even the Vice President, Dick Cheney (just to name a few). Melissa rocked the legendary Buffalo Chip at the 67th annual Sturgis Bike Rally with ZZ Top, Toby Keith, Chris Daughtry, Velvet Revolver and Foreigner. This girl can do it all!
From one venue to another, Melissa will bring down the house as she takes you back to the likes of another Wyoming wild child and her ultimate hero, the late, great Chris LeDoux. She’ll drag her mike stand across the stage, play something sweet on the ol’ guitar and before you know it, she’ll stimulate your soul and melt your heart with sweet and silky love notes. Her style of entertainment has brought standing ovations to hundreds of fairs, rodeos & concerts from Texas to the Canadian border, and from California to Tennessee. Melissa Fuller is a unique, one of a kind performer charming the toughest most jaded of country audiences.
This savvy songstress knew her gifts and dreams early on; she debuted her first public performance at age 5, wrote her first song at 12 and was in the recording studio by 13. She began in her early teens singing at her hometown rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days free stage and went on to open the 2005 Frontier Days Rodeo Finals singing “God Bless the USA.†After a string of national vocal contest wins, including Next American Superstar, The Colgate Country Music Showdown and The World Championships of Performing Arts, she headed south to Tennessee.
Melissa quickly became well versed in the business of music. Graduating with honors from Johnson & Wales University, she landed an internship with Byron Gallimore’s Nashville production company. She learned valuable career lessons about the industry on Music Row as she turned heads along the way. When she’s not kickin’ up dust in the rodeo arena, Melissa spends her days writing songs. This cowgirl poet penned the title track, “Emotions of Love†on Shelly Ruffin’s 2006 debut release.
Melissa has used her country values to get this far and she will live by those same country values for the rest of her life. That’s a western girl, that’s Wyoming’s Melissa Fuller!
