Zion Canyon Art And Flute Festival World Flute Music, Flute Makers, Original Artist, Native Theme ArtistA Spectacular Event, A Spectacular LocationOnce again, the Zion Canyon Flute Circle, The Arizona Flute Circle, The Town of Springdale and Z-Arts, presents the 3rd annual Zion Canyon Art And Flute Festival a world flute and art event. Mark your calendar today because you will not want to miss out this spectacular event.------------------------------------------------------ -------------------Beginning at 9:30 am Friday and continuing through 5:00 pm Sunday, art enthusiast, world flute enthusiast and friends of the Native American Flute will gather together in Springdale Utah, to browse art and flute vendor booths, to listen and play Native American flute music, attend workshops, learn from each other and share our art, our music and passion with each other.----------------------------------------------------Wh at? A gathering of world flute recording artist performing live on stage with fine artist, flute makers and native artist displaying their original works.-When? June 8th, 9th and 10th, 2007. This is a new time slot in the annual calendar for this event, selected in part at the request of our sponsor hotels because of better availability and in part for a better climate for the day time and evening events.-------------------------Where? Festival Activities are held in the Canyon Community Center and Town Center Park, Lion Blvd., Springdale Utah. Evening Concerts are held next door at the OC Tanner Amphitheater.------------------------------Time? Festival: Friday 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Evening Concerts: Friday & Saturday evening with a prelude performances beginning at 6:30 pm and the main concerts beginning at 7:00 pm, a 10 minute intermission at 8:30 and ending at about 9:55 pm.--------------------------------------------------Cost? Admission per day to the Festival is $2.00 per person or $5.00 for all three days. Children under 12 are free. This fee is collected by the Town of Springdale to assist in covering the expenses of personnel, sanitation, health, setup and clean up expenses. A few of the workshops offered are free of charge and some information workshops are $10 per person and the advanced workshops offered are $40 per person. The evening concerts $20 per evening or $35 for both.--------------------------Weather? The weather in June is cool in the mornings with an average of 93 for a high in the early afternoon and 61 degrees for an evening low. The tall walls of Zion Canyon help to keep the temperatures comfortable most of the day and the sun sets early because of the tall canyon walls thus shading the festival grounds allowing for cooler temperatures in the early evening.---------------------------------------------------- ---------Springdale Utah is located in Southern Utah, and sits as host to the entrance of Zion Canyon National Park. Many National Parks you might visit feature lookouts along a canyon rim, allowing visitors to look down into the canyons below. Zion Canyon National Park visitors view the park from the inside of the canyon. Red rock cliffs that rise thousands of feet from the floor of the canyon and can be explored in many ways. Ride the free shuttle, hike or take a bike ride. Many of the trails are paved, improved mini roadways allowing for handicap access. The Zion Canyon Art And Flute Festival is a place where friends of fine art and the Native American Flute are invited to come together to share their passion.This festival is a non-profit event and the creation of the Zion Canyon Flute Circle, Z-Arts and the Town of Springdale. This years festival will again feature two concerts at the OC Tanner Amphitheater. On Friday and Saturday evening enjoy the festivals best headline performers on stage. Here is the lineup.-----Friday Evening-----A prelude performance by Hawaiian flutist Anthony Natividad, will begin the evening concert at 6:30 pm. At 7:00 pm the main concert begins featuring four phenomenal acts. Mark Holland and his band Autumns Child, Ash Dargan, Peter Phippen and Vince Redhouse.-------------Saturday Evening-----A prelude performance by Jesse Kalu, John Dumas and Three Trees will begin the evening concert at 6:30 pm. At 7:00 pm the main concert begins featuring four phenomenal acts. Jeff Ball and his band, Scott August, Gary Stroutsos with Will Clipman as percussionist and Arvel Bird with Eagle, members of One Nation.
